Get ready for this upcoming July book club. Our member Scott suggests: "LGBTQIAA+ Poetry

The next Cedar Rapids PFLAG book discussion group will take place at the Hiawatha Public Library on Monday, July 21 at 6 PM. Our focus will be poetry written by (or about) LGBTQIAA+ persons and we invite you to come prepared to read a poem you enjoy or even a poem that you have written! As you know, the poets are brilliant, passionate, and countless, including (but not limited to) Mary Oliver, Walt Whitman, Trace Peterson, Langston Hughes, Frank O'Hara, Audre Lorde, Sappho, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and many others.

Please enjoy the poetry found at the following links; we look forward to having you read us your favorites on July 21st!

Celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community every month with the Read with Pride book club! The club meets the third Monday of the month. Always check www.pflagcr.com or facebook for date, time or location updates.

Hosted by the Hiawatha Public Library and PFLAG of Cedar Rapids, This club's main goal is to chat about books, but also provide a safe space for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community who deserve to see a version of themselves within the pages of a book. We also welcome allies wanting to expand their bookish horizons!
