The global transition towards sustainable energy systems and smart grid technologies demands advanced tools for system modeling, analysis, and optimization. MATLAB and Simulink have become essential platforms for engineers and researchers in the power and energy sector due to their ability to simulate complex systems with accuracy and efficiency. To equip the students with foundational skills and understanding of MATLAB for power and energy systems research, the IEEE NSU Power and Energy Society Student Branch Chapter is organizing an interactive workshop titled “Workshop on MATLAB and Simulink for Power and Energy Systems Research”.
The following workshop intends for participants to delve into vital concepts such as 3-phase grid-connected inverter systems for renewable energy integration, voltage and current control techniques, and the workings of DC-DC converters. Not only are these central concepts of contemporary power and energy systems, but they also comprise the essence of continuous innovation within the renewable energy industry.
The instructor for this course workshop is Mohammad Shafayet Hossain, an alumnus of North South University and also currently a faculty member as a lecturer, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North South University. Mr. Shafayet is a passionate power systems enthusiast and renowned among peers for his deep technical understanding and intelligent approach to problem-solving. Power systems are now the future of energy, and the demand for skilled professionals in this industry is only growing exponentially. Whether you're planning for higher studies or a career in smart grids, energy systems, or power controls, this is your chance to experience industry-standard tools that are driving innovation in energy research!
Limited seats are available! Don’t miss out on your chance to build a powerful future!
