Unlock the art of traditional chainmaking in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners. Throughout the course, you’ll master the foundational techniques needed to create four distinct chain samples and culminate your learning by crafting a full bracelet.
Key Learning Outcomes:
Jump Ring Creation: Learn to produce your own jump rings, the essential components of many chain designs.
Soldering Skills: Enhance your soldering abilities as you assemble and secure your chains.
Mandrel Usage: Gain proficiency in using mandrels of various shapes and sizes to form jump rings with diverse dimensions and forms.
Wire: Learn how the type of wire can change the look of your chain – square, round, twisted
Chain Design Exploration: Discover and practice constructing multiple chain patterns, allowing for personalization and creativity in your jewellery pieces.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll possess the skills and confidence to design and fabricate your own custom chains and bracelets. Students will make 3 chain samples in copper and then a final bracelet in sterling silver.

Workshop Fee: 400.00 +HST per person, includes kit fee for materials, consumables.
