Group Hike at Ballardini Ranch Trail

Join Kaia FIT Sierra as we hike Ballardini Ranch Trail in south Reno! We'll start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, with Coach Shannon.
Discover this 5.5-mile out-and-back trail that's generally considered a moderately challenging route. It takes an average of 2 and a half hours to complete, but attendees are welcome to leave at any time. This is a popular trail for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
This is a free event that is open to all men and women! Children are welcome as long as they can handle this level of hiking. Dogs also welcome as long as they interact well with other dogs, and the trail requires that they be on leash.
Officially RSVP so that the coach knows to expect you (and first-timers can sign an online waiver in advance): http://tinyurl.com/KaiaSierraSchedule (or through the South Reno location of the free "Kaia FIT Corp" app in your app store)
BALLARDINI RANCH TRAIL:
Ballardini Ranch Trail in Arrowcreek Open Space offers great views of rolling hills and the valley. The trail is popular for mountain biking, running, and hiking, so the Ballardini Ranch Trailhead parking lot can fill up quickly. The trail has a gradual uphill with no shade and is a little rocky.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-580 in Reno, take Exit 30 (Neil/Del Monte), and turn onto Neil/Del Monte heading toward the traffic circle with Kietzke Lane. (It's a left turn if heading north on I-580 and a right turn if heading south on I-580.) Take the second traffic circle exit for Del Monte Lane. Turn right onto Huffaker Lane. Turn left onto Lakeside Drive. Turn right onto Lone Tree Lane. Make your first right after seeing Bellhaven Road on the left. Park at the trailhead. Text 775-375-KAIA (5242) if you're running late or can't find the group!
WHAT IS KAIA FIT?
Our program philosophy goes much further than just a fitness workout. We designed Kaia to fit into every woman's schedule. Our year-round program includes three yearly BRIK sessions that we believe are the cornerstones of health and fitness. By building a solid foundation of strength, endurance and nutrition during these six-week BRIK programs, we train our bodies and our minds to take on multiple challenges simultaneously. We carry these foundations into our five-week Core sessions (two in between each BRIK boot camp). Each session is loaded with innovative workouts and nutritional support that are specific to the season.
The Kaia FIT program is designed to increase your fitness level and to get you excited about exercising and eating healthy. Finding camaraderie during these sessions is a vital component to everyone’s success. When you join Kaia, no girl is left behind because you’re a part of our tribe!
