Crochet Beginners Workshop
Advertisement
This workshop is suitable for anyone who would like to learn the art of crochet. This includes complete beginners who have never tried it before, those who may have tried crochet previously, and anyone wanting to pick up crochet skills they learnt years ago but may not have used for a long time.
You will learn how to hold the hook and yarn in the way that suits you (not everyone has to do it the same way!). We will focus on the basic crochet stitches and start to learn how to follow written instructions. We will also discuss different types of yarn and hooks for a variety of projects, and I will share useful tips, tools and techniques I have found worthwhile over the many years I have been crocheting and teaching.
If you have your own materials you wish to use I suggest a 4mm hook and DK yarn, but hooks and yarn will be available to borrow on the day so not essential. Alternatively you can add a beginner’s kit to your booking which contains a premium hook, selection of different colour yarns, stitch markers and printed instructions you can add your own notes to during the workshop. The cost of the kit is reduced to £7.50 when booked with a class.
The workshops are small groups to ensure everyone gets plenty of individual attention. Younger learners welcome - under 16s accompanied by a participating adult please. Cost is £20 per class, which can be booked individually or combined. Tea and coffee provided, plus there is an onsite cafe should you wish to enjoy breakfast before your workshop or follow it with lunch.
To book, DM or email aGVsbG8gfCBhbWFyaW1ha2VzICEgY29t. Payment via invoice prior to class confirms your place. Please don’t hesitate to use one of the contact methods above for any questions about these or future crochet workshops.
