Dive Deeper- Many Faces of the Mary Rose

Join us for a fascinating talk that delves into the lives of the men who served aboard Henry VIII’s favourite warship, the Mary Rose. Who were they? What roles did they play? Where did they come from, and what does our collection tell us about their lives?

The Mary Rose Museum is dedicated to the crew of Henry VIII’s favourite warship which was lost in 1545. What they left behind is a unique time capsule of Tudor life and the largest collection of Tudor objects in the world. This talk will explore what our collection reveals about the archers, carpenters, cooks, gunners, sailors and others who may have come from far flung places, but found themselves fighting together in the middle of the Battle of the Solent.

Tickets cost £30, add a guided tour to your visit, available to purchase for an extra £15. Tour will take place after the talks and will last 90 mins.
