What if invasive plants weren’t just a problem but a resource we’re overlooking?

Join us for our next SEED Series event:

GARDEN GUIDANCE: Reframing Our Relationship with Invasives
🗓 Tuesday, June 24
🕙 10 AM – Noon
📍 Jerry F. Costello Field Station, East Alton, IL

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Wendy Applequist, Botanist and Associate Scientist at the Missouri Botanical Garden and co-editor of "Love Them to Death: Turning Invasive Plants into Local Economic Opportunity".

Featured earlier this year on St. Louis Public Radio’s “St. Louis on the Air”, Dr. Applequist will challenge us to rethink how we engage with invasive species—not just as threats to native ecosystems, but as plants that can be harvested, used, and even valued in creative and responsible ways.
