Bridge on the River Kwai

The winner of seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor for Sir Alec's performance that was called "career defining." The film deals with British POWs in a Japanese camp ordered to build a bridge to complete the Burma-Siam railway.

After the film, John Martello will have a discussion with Dr. William Dean, retired Associate Professor of Comparative Military Studies at the US Air Force Command and Staff College where he taught irregular warfare, military history and international affairs. Dr. Dean currently teaches at Troy University.
