Summer Seagull Watercolour Workshop

Join local Watercolour & Acrylic Artist, Helen Worthington for an experimental watercolour workshop.
Since 2005, Helen has concentrated on producing spectacular artworks in a variety of media - acrylics, watercolour, line and wash, pastels, mixed media and, more recently, oil paints.
Constantly renewing her interest in different forms of painting and subject matter has always been a driving force for her art projects to date.
Helen describes herself as a ‘self-learning’ artist and is delighted to share her knowledge through workshops with you here at the studio.
Experience Level:
All Welcome (Age 12 upwards). Full instructions will be given to everyone during the session.
Workshop Plan:
With a full drawing provided in this workshop, you can enjoy simply painting this cheeky summer Seagull in lovely watercolours, and at the end you’ll have a fun friend to take home – although do watch out for your chips!
We’ll do some ‘warm-up’ practice first - trying different brushes and tools, and mixing paints - so that you can be confident when it comes to painting the Seagull itself. There’ll be the opportunity to learn how to use masking fluid, and you’ll be shown how to create the fabulous texture in the rocks the gull is standing on.
Please don’t forget to bring something with you to carry your project home in – a small lidded tray or box will be fine.
