Poverty Simulation

St. Clair County Regional Office of Education's Truancy Department will host a Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) on July 11, 2025, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at THE CAVE. This learning tool has been created to help people understand the realities of poverty. During the simulation, participants role-play the lives of low-income families.
The simulation enables participants to examine poverty from various angles and then recognize and discuss the potential for change within their local community. Four PD hours are available.
