Living a long and healthy life, full of awareness and joy, is one of the primary focuses of Ayurveda. This is achieved through awareness of the energies that govern the rhythm of the universe. The vata dosha governs movement, the pitta dosha facilitates transformation, and the kapha dosha is responsible for the structure of the universe.
In this intro to Ayurveda talk, we will dive a little deeper into the concept of the doshas and how they affect our minds and bodies. We will also go over my personal favorite aspect of Ayurveda, which is the guidance it provides for our daily routines. The daily routine prescribed by Ayurveda is called dinacharya. Tuning in to this daily guidance brings a greater awareness to yourself and the rhythm of the world around us, naturally promoting the goal of increased quantity and quality of life.
