Oshawa Fiesta Week at Odesa Pavilion

Odesa pavilion has participated in Fiesta since its inception in 1974. This annual festival actually started in 1973 and was called “Fanfare” - the name was changed to “Fiesta” in 1974. The Odesa pavilion was one of the original pavilions in 1973.

Odesa presents the beauty of Ukrainian culture and tradition through dance, artistry and its unique cuisine. The Ukrainian people have always shown their strength and perseverance. These traits are demonstrated in the current conflict overseas, and with help from the Ukrainian community in Oshawa we hope to show everyone in Fiesta that we continue to stand strong together.

Join us at the Odesa pavilion on June 17, 18 and 19 where you will see our young people dressed in authentic Ukrainian costumes perform traditional Ukrainian dances (some more than 100 hundred years old); you can taste our traditional dishes (like pyrohy/varenyky (don’t forget the sour cream!) cabbage rolls, shishkebobs) and possibly take home a memory of Ukrainian culture from one of the many vendors displaying handcrafted goods.

Glory to Ukraine! Slava Ukraini!
