Woodlands Park Castle Playground Maintenance 2024

Castle Park turns 19 this summer! Do you know why it still looks nice after all these years? Each July, volunteers spend a few hours applying kid-safe preservative oil to the playground structure and fence.

We need your help! Grab your friends and neighbors and come keep our favorite Kirkland playground looking great!

It's often hard to get volunteers in summer, so any amount of time you can spare is so very greatly appreciated! It's easy, but critical work. No experience necessary and all supplies provided!

NOTES:
* Please, no children under 11.
* Responsible teens are welcome with adult supervision.
* Need volunteer hours for scouts or school? We can verify volunteer hours!
* The playground will be closed until the oil is dry. Depending on the weather, this could be around 3:00 p.m.
