Smile Boat Parade 2025

Get ready to have fun in Portland’s newest destination, the “North Waterfront” with water-loving neighbors on the Columbia River channel between Bridgeton & Hayden Island. It's a colorful event as people wear costumes, and decorate their boats.

Celebrate Island life by floating, paddling, and motoring downriver in the North Portland Harbor. The Parade follows a smiling curved path through the picturesque Columbia River, spanning two river miles, starting and finishing at the east end of Hayden Island, traveling to the railroad bridge and back.
