Vitae Jazz with Aric Van Brocklin & Matty Metcalfe

Aric Van Brocklin and Matty Metcalfe-A born and bred New Orleans native, Aric (guitar/vocals) grew up singing authentic blues and jazz songs of the region and is also a master of Delta guitar styles. Matty (piano/accordion) became a convert many years ago when his brother who attended Loyola University sent back tapes of Professor Longhair, Dr. John, James Booker, Clifton Chenier and many other local musical luminaries. The duo present a range of hits from the 1930’s Louis Armstrong era to the current day, including songs in the 'hot club', zydeco, cajun and creole and stride traditions.
