Ripples & Roots Restoration Workshop

The Kennebecasis Watershed Restoration Committee is introducing Ripples & Roots Nature Camp! This is a riparian restoration workshop for high school students looking to gain hands-on experience for environmental education or career pursuits. This is a rare opportunity to practice basic field skills, engage in real-world conservation and restoration strategies, and contribute to ecological projects while getting to know the inner workings of a non-profit organization. Activities include tree planting, willow staking, habitat assessment, water sampling, fish diversity and invasive species monitoring, and more!

The camp takes place from July 21st to the 25th, from 9am till 3pm each day, and costs $50 per participant. Space is limited, so payment must be e-transferred to YmVuICEgd2hhbGVuIHwga2VubmViZWNhc2lzcml2ZXIgISBvcmc= to secure your spot. We ask that only high school students apply (those who have previously completed grade 9, 10, 11, or 12).

Ripples & Roots is made possible with funding from the New Brunswick Wildlife Trust Fund. If you have any questions please contact our Education Outreach Coordinator at ZWR1Y2F0aW9ub3V0cmVhY2ggfCBrZW5uZWJlY2FzaXNyaXZlciAhIG9yZw==.
