All ages and FREE! John Turkey’s Nightmares is the solo project of Oakland’s Sam Carpenter—raw, strange, and best heard alone, preferably at night. Blending '60s melodies with '90s grit, his sound recalls Nirvana, Neil Young, and MJ Lenderman. Albums span lo-fi confessionals to eerie instrumentals. This June, he tours NorCal and reissues his debut, Rockapeejay, remastered and trimmed down by 40 tracks.
