'All Things Clay' Camp (Ages 8+)

Students will get an introduction to all the tools of the pottery studio and get their hands dirty playing with clay! We will primarily focus on creating pottery through different types of handbuilding (coils, slabs, and pinching), and will try out the potter's wheel. We’ll explore fun ways of decorating our work and use stamps and underglaze paints to finish our pieces.

Students will choose their favorite studio glaze to complete their work. Fired work will be available for pick up within a month of the final day of class.

What’s included:
- 5 three-hour instructional sessions
- All the clay and materials needed to complete class projects
- A daily snack

Students under the age of 8 will not be permitted to take this class. Ages will be confirmed on the first date of class and any students outside of the class age range will not be able to proceed with class. No refunds, credits, or rescheduling options will be provided.

Notes on behavior: For children needing extra assistance due to behavioral issues or other concerns, one adult may accompany them to camp. However, please note that the accompanying adult cannot create their own pieces in the camp. Additionally, if a child experiences behavior difficulties during camp and it becomes clear they need one-on-one attention, we may require an adult's attendance for extra support.
