Our popular fundraising gala returns in 2025 with Rondeau in the Forest in celebration of EMV’s 55th anniversary hosted by CBC's Margaret Gallagher! Attend an exceptional sustainable dinner with a live and silent auction hosted by Fred Lee, featuring dance and live music arching from the baroque to the 20th-century and inspired by the natural beauty of the forest. Montreal-based baroque dancer and choreographer Marie-Nathalie Lacoursière & Bobby Thompson will beguile you (and encourage you to step into the fun if you’re willing!) at the sumptuous Vancouver Club. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you.
Help Us Bring Three Bold New Projects to Life!
As we celebrate EMV’s 55th anniversary, we’re raising funds for three exciting projects that honour our past and look boldly to the future: Monteverdi’s Orfeo in 2026, A New Opera on Climate Change, & a brand-new work by Métis composer Pat Carrabré, written for PBO and guest soprano Amanda Forsythe. Titled The Mother Tree, inspired by Suzanne Simard book Finding the Mother Tree.
