Explore the beauty and legends of West Virginia!
Join us for a scenic and history-rich day trip to the New River Gorge region. We’ll begin our adventure at the Sandstone Falls Visitor Center, where you’ll learn about the natural and cultural history of the New River watershed. From there, enjoy a short walk to the dramatic Sandstone Falls Overlook—600 feet above the river—where you’ll take in stunning views of the largest waterfall on the New River, spanning over 1,500 feet wide.

Next, we’ll head into the charming railroad town of Hinton, WV, for lunch (on your own) at The Market on Courthouse Square. Afterward, we’ll visit the John Henry Statue and the Great Bend Tunnel—the legendary site where the “Steel Drivin’ Man” triumphed in his iconic contest against the steam drill.

Fee Includes: Round-trip transportation in a Parks & Recreation van, all site visits, and a T+T trip host.
Lunch: On your own at The Market on Courthouse Square in Hinton.
