Shakespeare in Hollywood

Directed by Jude Hines

The play revolves around the chaotic production of the movie of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Ifs 1934, and Shakespeare's most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialised on the set of a Warner Brothers movie, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves.

With a little help from a feisty flower, a blonde bombshell and a movie mogul, the results are raucous, to say the least...

It’s a 'don’t miss' screwball comedy with supernatural elements.
Originally commissioned by The Royal Shakespeare Company, this play was awarded the Helen Hayes Best New Play when first performed.

This play is a fun-filled romp that pays homage to both Shakespeare and the golden age Hollywood.

It perfectly blends literary charm and cinematic spectacle, offering plenty of laughs and entertainment.
