Benjamin Britten War Requiem

2025 marks the eightieth year since the ending of the second world war and the horrifying bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Bournemouth Symphony Chorus are proud and honoured to be touring to Japan to perform the War Requiem in September 2025, but are equally proud and honoured to be able to perform this stunning and moving work in Poole with the amazing Magna Sinfonia, Bournemouth Chamber Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Youth Chorus. We are joined by soloists Rusné Tušlaité - soprano, Elgan Llŷr Thomas – tenor and Florian Störtz - baritone, under the baton of our Chorus Director, Gavin Carr.
