Learn how to make a Contemporary Zarzo Basket

The Zarzo basket is said to originate from northern Spain. Its stylish and contemporary appearance masks its original use as a drain for cheese curd in the cheese making process. One of the most exciting aspects of the Zarzo basket is its construction as the base, sides and handles are woven in one.
The course starts with a cup of tea or coffee on arrival with some homemade cakes. You will be given an introduction to willow, its preparation and the different varieties you can weave with.
You will then be taken through the process of making the basket step by step. This workshop is perfect for beginners.
All materials will be provided.
