Amy Petty is a classically trained singer whose heart beats Rock and Roll.
Amy began her career in opera, singing with the Michigan Opera Theater, Meadowbrook Theater and symphonies across the state. She began writing her own brand of rock-infused folk when she realized she wanted to do more than perform…she wanted to create.
With three critically acclaimed albums of original music under her belt, Amy has made a name for herself as a force, musically and vocally. Known across the country for her powerful vocals, she has sang her original songs everywhere from Carnegie Hall in NYC to small house concerts in Seattle.
Amy fronts The Amy Petty Band (featuring Michael Robertson on guitar, Joe Balbaugh on bass, and Donny Brown on drums), leads vocals in the Flint-based Woodstock-era rock band Itchycoo Park, and shares the spotlight with Classic Women of Country alongside Lora Dale, Laurie Spear, and a crew of Mid-Michigan’s top musicians.
