Ballard Locks, Ballyhoo, and More

TLDR: Ballard Locks! Lunch at Lockspot! Photos at giant shrimp and troll! Ice cream! Ballyhoo Curiosity Shop!
Summer is the time to enjoy the outdoors! It has been a few years since we last explored the Ballard Locks. The plan is to meet at the entrance and then stroll around the gardens and locks. Many great photo ops await us. The terrain is flat and scooter-friendly!
After that we can have lunch at the Lockspot, which is conveniently located next to the locks. We can commandeer some of the outdoor tables. If you prefer to bring a picnic lunch, that works too.
The last time we did this we continued on after lunch and took photos on and around the giant shrimp and in front of the giant troll, in front of the Nordic Museum. We also went for ice cream at Salt and Straw, which has interesting, non-traditional flavors.
Still here? Let's continue on over to Ballyhoo Curiosity Shop, which is about .5 miles from the Locks. (You can also drive there and meet us). Ballyhoo has all sorts of fascinating stuff - vintage jewelry, 19th century medical equipment, and lots more. A steampunk could get seriously lost here, in a good way.
