Dylan Goes Electric

Get ready for a night of unforgettable music with a tribute to the legendary Bob Dylan with eclectic folk-rock collective 'riverman' and their unique interpretations of his classic songs.

We work on his move from 'folk' to 'rock' with particular focus on the legendary moment Bob switched from his acoustic to a full electric band.

Expect Bob's poetic lyrics, soulful vocals, masterful instrumentals, all riding on pulsing drum and bass rhythms.

The band breathe new life into timeless classics, a must-see event for music lovers.

Dunelm House is the famous Grade II listed Brutalist Students' Union of Durham University. One might say it is somewhat "Marmite", as many Brutalist buildings are - but most importantly for the Fringe, it’s in the centre of Durham, close to our other venues, in a spectacular setting and we are very grateful to The Students' Union for supporting us and allowing us to use this exciting venue.

The ballroom space, on the lowest floor of the building, is named after the renowned ballerina, Dame Margot Fonteyn, who was a previous Chancellor of Durham University.
