This walk, co-sponsored with the Manitoba Historical Society, will feature north Point Douglas, one of the oldest and thus most historic areas of our city. Beginning at Ross House, the first post office in western Canada, we will tour the Vulcan Iron site, a focal point of the Winnipeg General Strike, Barber House (Red River Frame construction), All People's (Sutherland) Mission, one of the Methodist worksites of J. S. Woodsworth, founder of the CCF, the prominent former red light district, Norquay Park and the former Brown and Rutherford location.
