The Moruya RSL Sub Branch is pleased to present a full weekend of celebration and commemoration, to recognise the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War Two. Features include FREE TOUR of the wartime RAAF concrete bunkers, a FREE TOUR of the Moruya Granite Quarry which not only supplied granite in the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but also a number of war memorials around New South Wales (including Martin Place, Sydney) + a FREE WALKING TOUR of main street Moruya and how the war impacted on the civil population. Book early as spaces are very limited. Highlight of the weekend will be a 1940's concert in the RSL Hall at Moruya with songs by Vera Lynne and Marlene Dietrich, just to name a few. Once again, bookings will be essential. Historic vehicles and re-enactors in period uniforms. Who said that "history" could not be fun?
Come along, celebrate and commemorate on the anniversary of the date which saw the end of the Second World War.
