Archaeology Experience Weekend (1)

Join us in celebrating the Festival of Archaeology this July by booking onto one of our three archaeological experience weekends.

12th-13th July
19th-20th July
26th- 27th July

Professional archaeologists and experienced volunteers will teach you the basics of excavation and recording on a live archaeological site. In addition to digging you will get the chance to try other activities relied upon to interpret an archaeological site.

Copped Hall, a Georgian mansion, being lovingly restored to it's former glory by the Copped Hall Trust hides a secret in the gardens. The remains of former Copped Halls, including a Tudor palace that hosted Queen Elizabeth I herself!

We welcome all ages (13+) although those under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult also booked onto the course. Perfect for all lovers of history and archaeology and an ideal taster if you are considering studying at university or taking up a new hobby.
