Joining The Signatures on stage are the sensational “Steve Ellis”, the original voice of The Love Affair, Northern Soul legend “Sidney Barnes”, and special guest and former frontman of The Signatures “Lee Bonington”, returning for one night only
Lee Bonington first joined The Signatures in 2015, stepping in during a major turning point for the band. Recruited from indie-soul outfit The Mannequins, Lee brought a fresh energy and helped steer the group toward a new, dedicated Northern Soul direction. Now returning as a special guest, Lee brings both nostalgia and purpose—raising funds for the Mental Health Foundation with this performance.
Steve Ellis first found fame at the tender age of 17 as the lead singer with one of the most successful British pop acts of the 60s, The Love Affair. With chart-topping hits like Everlasting Love, Rainbow Valley, Bringing on Back the Good Times, and One Road, the band were only outsold by The Beatles in 1968. Steve returns with a full set of Northern Soul favourites, his own material, and those timeless classics.
Sidney Barnes is a Northern Soul icon, best known for dancefloor staples like Standing on Solid Ground, I Hurt On The Other Side, and You’ll Always Be In Style. A prolific writer and producer for the likes of The Supremes, The Jacksons, and Bo Diddley, Sidney was also a staff writer at Motown and frontman of the psychedelic soul band Rotary Connection. Appearing as part of his One Last Time UK Tour, this will be Sidney’s final visit to the UK—don’t miss your chance to witness a living legend.
The night will also be raising money for The Mental Health Foundation, which Lee is raising funds for
