Franklin Square Gallery, Associated Artists of Southport has begun its year long effort for Empty Bowls 2025!

Our Artists are busy creating one of a kind bowls to support the Empty Bowls mission to "eliminate hunger in our communities ONE BOWL at a time".

What is Empty Bowls…

The "Empty Bowls Project" is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.

An empty bowl is a reminder of individuals who go hungry everyday. This simple gesture and act of kindness allows you to be a difference. A meal of donated soup and bread is served. Participants take home a hand crafted ceramic bowl as a reminder of those facing food insecurity in Brunswick County.

Your purchase of a sponsorship or ticket helps fill a neighbors’ Empty Bowl.

All proceeds support Mathew’s Ministry, Brunswick Assistance and Southport, Oak Island Food Pantry.
