Insula Collective Presents: BIPOC Mental Health Circle at Trans-Pecos
About this Event
Insula Collective is a wellness initiative that offers affirming, peer-led spaces for BIPOC to explore mental health, identity, and healing in real time. In the past year alone, weβve hosted 50+ support groups β online and in person β each one rooted in connection, care, and collective reflection.
This gathering will be led by Briana Boyd, a certified peer support specialist (CA & NY) and the founder of Insula Collective. With lived experience and a deep commitment to creating non-clinical, culturally grounded spaces, Briana facilitates each group with intention and warmth.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend. This is not therapy. Itβs a space for BIPOC folks to come as they are β to be heard, seen, and supported.
Each group centers around a single topic (e.g. life transitions, family dynamics, burnout, loneliness, identity), which is voted on by attendees at the start of the session. Through structured prompts, shared storytelling, and grounding exercises, we co-create a space that is reflective, soft, and judgment-free.
This group is intended for those who identify as BIPOC or people of color. We welcome the full spectrum of our communities β including multiracial, white-passing, and ethnically ambiguous individuals who identify as BIPOC. If you are not a person of color, we ask that you honor the intention of this space and do not register at this time.
That said, we believe in community care for all. If you're interested in future offerings that are open to everyone, you're welcome to fill out this interest form β weβd love to stay connected.
