A Performance/Dance Academy for Adults

It’s time to join A Performance Academy, hosted by at
Drawing on their performance background in the Netherlands and a foundation in theatre, Fluxx has crafted a unique experience blending embodiment, creativity, and play. Each session is designed to support exploration, performance, and self-expression.
Location: Downtown Dayton, Historic Arts DistrictTime: Mondays in August, 6–8 PM
Class Dates:
- August 4, 2025 (Drop-in available $15)
- August 11, 2025 (Drop-in available $15)
- August 18, 2025
- August 25, 2025
- September 5, 2025 – SHOW DAY! (5–9 PM)
What to Expect:
- Learn the history of performance art and expressive movement
- Embody your personal style and presence using physical storytelling
- Build a unique external look (costume, vibe, etc.)
- Learn and personalize a choreographed group routine
- Collaborate in a supportive, low-pressure space
- Option to participate in a final showcase performance (totally optional!)
Whether or not you perform, you’ll be part of the celebration. Classes are welcoming to all levels and designed to prioritize creativity, accessibility, and empowerment.
All Genders • All Abilities • All Bodies WelcomeThese classes use simple routines that emphasize community, expression, and fun. Each week builds on the last, and step breakdowns are part of every class. If you’d like extra support, private sessions are available.
Investment:
- $40 for the full 4-week cohort
- Drop-in option: $15 per class (only available Aug 4 & 11)All funds support the facilitator and studio space. We thank you :)
