Foul Fiend Theatre Troupe Presents: Ape The Immortality
About this Event
ABOUT
Foul Fiend Theatre Troupe is thrilled to present the second show of our Outdoor Season, Ape The Immortality, an original play by Ley Nikfarjam, directed by Jess Eichen.
Two ghost-hunters are called to investigate The House. It starts to get to them. A play about dissociative amnesia and child abuse, through the lens of haunted houses, butterflies, and video tapes.
“Dark pictures, thrones, the stones that pilgrims kiss,
poems that take a thousand years to die
but ape the immortality of this
red label on a little butterfly.”
— Vladimir Nabokov, “On Discovering A Butterfly”
CONTENT WARNING
This play contains discussions of violence, suicide, self-mutilation, and child sexual abuse. Viewer discretion is advised. Producers will be present at all shows should you need assistance or support.
