Celebrating the art of filmmaking in the Bay Area

About this Event

Join us in our 15th year celebrating the art of short film making and the independent filmmaker in the Bay Area. This Berkeley Community Media tradition explores the limits of the imagination by challenging filmmakers to use our 3 secret clues to create an original film of 10 minutes or less within 48 hours. We are ALWAYS AMAZED how diverse the resulting films can be given that all teams start out with the same clues and time constraints. This experience is deeply appreciated and valued by all. It's especially wonderful to see the look on filmmaker faces when they get that live, in the moment, audience reaction! We need your applause, laughter and all of your encouragement for these wonderfully brave artists.

This is a fundraising and awareness building opportunity for Berkeley Community Media, Berkeley's very own public access TV station. We are a hub for creatives to convene and produce audio/visual content for our channel www.bcmtv.org, YouTube and other media outlets. We offer training and equipment to empower folks of all ages and backgrounds of experience. Check out our website for more info on classes and to see the broadcast.

We will be screening the films in front of a live audience and broadcasting live to www.bcmtv.org.
