Barchives 28 : Joan and John at Liz's Book Bar (the encore)
About this Event
Our first date filled up so quickly that we’ve decided to open a second date. Thank you to Liz’s Book Bar and the NYPL Archivists for making time to do an encore for those who couldn’t join the first event!
If you’re still compiling your summer reading list, we’ve got a book AND a book bar for you. Liz’s Book Bar has only been open a year, but is already a solid fixture in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. If you haven’t visited yet, this first taste will leave you wanting more of their coffee, wine, well-curated book displays, and community events. One of the books calling your name might be Notes to John, crafted from the late Joan Didion’s journal entries about her therapy sessions. NYPL Archivists who processed the Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne Papers will discuss the contents of this intimate collection of two renowned American writers.
This event is co-sponsored by the Metropolitan New York Library Council.
If you were on the waitlist and confirmed for this second date, you’ll be automatically registered.
