Mindful Rx

Do you want to play, but are looking for something more theraputic and self-reflective?

At our Mindful Rx event, you will PLAY through creative arts, contemplative writing, and intentional introspection exercises in a relaxed environment.

What's the difference between a Mindful Rx and a craft night?? The goal to play by exploring authenticity AND NOT making a "noteworthy" product by the end. We work on asking your inner critic to step to the side so you can play with the arts in a curiosity-driven way.

NO skills or talent required, but you DO need to bring a playful spirit and a growth mindset.

All materials are provided.

July 26th Agenda 1:00-3:00pm:

• Create your own name tag exercise to get people warmed up and settled in
• Check ins and introduction
• Guided Doodling
• Playful Collage
• Reflection Journaling
• Check outs

Things to Know:

• Please show up on time!!! I recommend planning to arrive 10 minutes early so you can find the space- the AZ Center is HUGE. Directions are below.

• Directions: drive to "Arizona Center parking garage". (You get free 2 hour validated parking at the end of the event.) Then, set your maps to WALKING and walk to Coldstone in the AZ Center. There will be a big red A-frame sign with a cartoon pill bottle on it will be out front telling you where my location is. Please look for the signs that say "creative play workshop for adults". My suite changes frequently in the AZ Center, so you will have to get in the spirit of play to find me by following the signs.

• This is an event for 18+ only. There will be a bit of cussing and creative uncensored things made by creative adults, so please don't expect this to be your grandmother's craft night ;)

• Wear comfortable clothing and keep in mind there might be acrylic paint present (and no, it doesn't come out of clothes easily).

• No food or drinks are provided, so it's recommended to BRING water and eat beforehand (you can also bring a snack)
