Garden Party Fundraiser for Same Cafe
About this Event
Blue Shed Urban Gardens, is a micro-farm in the backyard of my home located in the Wash Park neighborhood. SAME Cafe is one of our partner organizations and I couldn't be more delighted to host this event and honor of the important work they do.
We hope you can join us for an evening of garden-inspired cocktails and bites from SAME Cafe's talented chefs. Executive Director, Carrie Shores, will be in attendance sharing the cafe's immediate needs in addition to their longer-term goals. These are challenging time for smaller non-profits, like SAME. In addition to limited funding, they are also being directly impacted by the Colfax Transit construction project. Due to their non-profit status they were not able to qualify for the $15,000 the city was offering businesses along this corridor. With your support we are hoping to raise $7500 at this event and have a donor that will match that amount.
Please gather with us in community, enjoy the bounty of the season, and lift up this organization that serves food and people with respect and dignity.
