Romance Has Left The Villa: A Salon on The Intimacy Epidemic & Love Island

Why does dating feel off? Join our salon gathering unpacking love, lust & intimacy using Love Island S7 as our case study.

About this Event

Something’s off in the dating world, and tbh we all feel it. In this 18+ salon, we’re diving deep into the intimacy epidemic: the growing disconnect between love, lust, and our ability to name what we’re actually feeling. And we’re using Love Island Season 7 as our case study to explore it all. From emotionally unavailable contestants to gendered double standards, Love Island gives us more than drama; it gives us insight into how we navigate (or avoid) connection today and what third spaces can teach us about it all.

We’ll unpack:

• Why modern dating feels more performative than personal

• The cost of being emotionally fluent in a world that prefers “to chill”

• How third spaces, like salons, help us re-learn intimacy, outside of apps and aesthetics

What to expect:

- Cultural analysis

- Guided reflections + group dialogue

- Intimacy-centered and sex-positive activations

- A soft, slow, and thoughtful space to reflect on love, together

Whether you’ve been ghosted, glamorized, or just genuinely confused about dating in 2025, this salon is for you. Let’s talk about what we’re really craving and how we might build it IRL.
