Palfrey Park Pollinator Day
About this Event
Join Froglife and the Bumblebee Champions to celebrate pollinators at Palfrey Park through FREE wildlife activities on Wednesday the 23rd of July from 1pm to 3pm.
We will explore the park to learn all about the different creatures that call it home! Join in for Bug Hunts to discover creepy crawlies, spot beautiful butterflies to contribute to the Big Butterfly Count, and learn about local pond life from Froglife. There will also be scavenger hunt activities and seed planting to try out.
The wonderful Bumblebee Conservation Trusts Bumblebee Champions will share lots of fun facts about our wonderful native bees and lead 3 Bumblebee Safari sessions!
Bumblebee Safari sessions will take place at:
- Session 1: 1:30pm to 1:50pm
- Session 2: 2:00pm to 2:20pm
- Session 3: 2:30pm to 2:50pm
Please sign up for your free slot by selecting the appropriate ticket.
Bug Hunts, Butterfly Counts and other wildlife activities will be running from 1pm to 3pm, so feel free to drop in and join these activities at any time. No ticket required.
Find us at the wildlife area of the park, next to the pond. What3Words:///invite.cake.loud. The nearest park entrances are along Broadway West, WS1 4DZ and at the end of Queen Mary Street, WS1 4AB. If entering from Queen Mary Street, walk past the playground and around to the right to find the entrance to the wildlife area. The pond is located here.
