Free Native Plant Field Journaling Youth Activity

Join us for a free youth activity designed for budding naturalists ages 8–12! In this one-hour session, participants will explore the Native Plant Garden while learning to observe and document nature like a scientist and an artist. Activities include guided plant observation, drawing exercises, and creative journaling prompts.

All materials will be provided, and participants will take home their own field journal. A parent or guardian (18+) must accompany minors throughout the event.

Location: New Hanover County Arboretum – Education Center at 6206 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403

Cost: Free – Registration Required

Age Range: 8–12 (must be accompanied by an adult)
