Forest Bathing is lead by Mileva Huljev, who holds a Guide certification through the Association for Nature & Forest Therapy (ANFT) and believes that this practice offers a pathway to remember how to immerse yourself in nature; to rest from the stressors of daily life. Also, Forest Bathing is more than just 'going for a walk'. It is an opportunity to slow down physically and mentally, through a series of guided invitations using your senses. These experiences increase individual wellbeing and lead to a deeper appreciation for our planet’s land and waterways. Studies have shown that time in nature is an antidote for stress and anxiety. It can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, reduce nervous system arousal, enhance immune system function, increase self-esteem, reduce anxiety, and improve mood.
