Please join Critical Resistance and Partnership for Safety and Justice for a screening of And Water Brings Tomorrow, “a film about change that looks at closed prisons around the U.S., considering what they’ve turned into, the community efforts behind their closure, and the forms of loss and reckoning that their closure does and does not address.” The screening will be followed by a Q&A, featuring filmmaker Ashley Hunt and CRLA member Jose Gutierrez!

"And Water Brings Tomorrow" is the final installment in Ashley Hunt’s trilogy that includes "Ashes Ashes" (2020) and "Double Time" (2021), focusing on the themes of Pr*son closure and the ongoing movement for abolition.

  • Street parking can be limited. The theater is located on the FX2 bus line, and near the 75 (stop SE Cesar Chavez and SE Division).
