Dr. Gustavo Balderas
A nationally recognized leader in educational equity, Dr. Balderas currently serves as Superintendent of the Beaverton School District in Oregon. His accolades include the 2020 National Superintendent of the Year and the 2023 National Bilingual Education Superintendent of the Year. Beginning July 1, 2026, he will assume the role of Superintendent for the Puget Sound Educational Service District, where he will continue his commitment to fostering inclusive and just educational environments.
Eduardo Chávez
The grandson of civil rights icon César Chávez, Eduardo is a filmmaker and activist dedicated to exploring and honoring his family's legacy. His directorial debut, the documentary Hailing César, chronicles his personal journey to connect with his grandfather's work and the ongoing struggles of farmworkers. Through his storytelling, Eduardo brings a fresh perspective to social justice and cultural identity.
