About this Event

Pratt is excited to welcome Dr. Zackary Berger, Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins Division of General Internal Medicine and Core Faculty at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics, for a comprehensive discussion on self-advocacy in the doctor’s office.

Have you ever wondered:

  • How to have a healthy dialogue in the doctor’s office
  • How best to prepare for an appointment (i.e., what information you should bring to your appointment, what things to think about ahead of time, etc.)
  • How to talk to your doctor in different kinds of appointments (checkup appointment, major diagnosis appointment, change in meds appointment)
  • How to advocate for yourself when you don’t understand what the doctor is telling you

Join us for a thoughtful discussion around how to best ensure your voice and perspectives are being heard in your medical treatment.
