Driven by hopes for a better life, two Senegalese teens set out on a perilous journey from West Africa to Italy. Between them and their dreams lie endless checkpoints, the harsh Sahara, and the vast Mediterranean Sea. Acclaimed for its gripping story and powerful visuals, "Io Capitano” won seven David di Donatello awards and earned Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for Best International Feature.
