Looking at the difference between Native and Introduced species and how they effect biodiversity.

About this Event

Come learn all about the endangered grasslands in the Weaselhead!

We will start by heading along the top path of the park. We'll talk about the Smooth Brome grass in the fields and show the patches of Rough Fescue and Bunch grass in the top fields and compare the plant bio-diversity in these two area.

As we walk along the escarpment and make our way down we will observe the variety of native plants here and notice how they change as we move between ecosystems.

The hike will be about 3km in length on a mix of trails and un-even terrain.

Please wear proper footwear, and be prepared to be outside for the duration of the time.

This hike is geared towards adults. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
