About this Event

The Farm Alliance of Baltimore and the National Wildlife Federation have teamed up to create a series titled Pollinators & Produce for urban farmers, community gardeners, and backyard growers in and around Baltimore. Join us for Skincare with Native Plants, facilitated by Claudia Torrieri of Claudia Rosa Esthetics!


About the Workshop

This workshop focuses on the skin health benefits of native plants! We will cover topics such as growing native plants at home, skin analysis and face mapping, and plant-based skincare recipes. The hands-on portion of this workshop will be a medicine-making session culminating in the application of a soothing face mask. Come bare faced / makeup-free for the best experience!

About the Speaker

Claudia Torrieri is a licensed esthetician with a background in sustainable agriculture and a holistic approach to skincare. As the owner and operator of Claudia Rosa Esthetics, she integrates her knowledge of herbs, produce, and other plants with her training in esthetics to create natural, nourishing products for healthy skin.


About the Series

This series of workshops are meant to provide education/tips on identifying and attracting pollinators, as well as creating welcoming habitats that support them in your growing spaces.


Because this event is outdoors, we suggest that you wear close-toed shoes, sun protection, and weather-appropriate clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Be sure to bring a water bottle! There will be extra water, masks, hand sanitizer, sunscreen & bug spray on site.


Parking Information: street parking available in the neighborhood

Restrooms: there is no restroom onsite

Other Notes: There will be the option to apply a plant-based face mask during this workshop, so we recommend bringing a hair tie or headband to keep your hair out of your face. Paths are grass, and woodchips there is limited shade and seating on site, bring a chair if you need one!
