About this Event
Monroe County Parks & Highland Park Conservancy present: October Sky in Highland Bowl! Bring your blanket and lawn chairs. Come early to picnic and explore the park!
Grab a free bag of popcorn and watch October Sky on the big screen! This inspiring movie is the true story of Homer Hickam, a coal miner's son who was inspired by the first Sputnik launch to take up rocketry against his father's wishes.
Movie will begin at dusk (around 8:30 pm which is approximately one half hour after sunset.) Additionally, open captioning will be offered.
In the event of inclement weather, Monroe County will post on Facebook. If you registered via Eventbrite, the Conservancy will send an email to you.
Handicap Parking is available behind the Bowl. Enter the parking lot on Robinson Drive.
General parking on Reservoir Ave, Robinson Drive and surrounding streets.
