THE FILMS

Detlev

Ferdinand Ehrhardt & Fabian Driehorst | Deutschland | 13 mins

A constantly freezing man in his forties drives to a lonely petrol station every evening and orders a microwaved Toast Hawaii. Detlev indulges in this in a bizarre ritual, because it's the only thing that warms him in his daily life. But when he is observed by a stranger one night, his world begins to crumble into shameful pieces.

Humantis

Paris Baillie | US | 9 mins

Humantises are masters of deception. But can they hide from change? When one Humantis unexpectedly goes through a physical transformation, it struggles to adapt and grow into its new self.

Monsoon Blue (夏夢迴)

Jay Hiukit Wong & Ellis Kayin Chan | Hong Kong | 14 mins

The dream of a goldfish to return into its wild form uproars her long-forgotten memories, and a self-conscious monsoon is about to be uninhibited.

Paradise Man (ii)

Jordan Michael Blake | US | 12 mins

Paradise Man searches for meaning in an unknowable universe. And he wants to talk a little bit about… Golf.

Swifts

Ada Napiórkowski | Estonia | 5 mins

Like every year, the swifts are returning to their homes in the “sleeping districts”. But this year the humans are gone, leaving nothing but spirits.

TV oder Die Ruhestörung an der Waldbergstrasse (TV or The Disturbance on Forest Hill Road)

Frederic Siegel | Switzerland | 14 mins

Six-year-old Diego spends too much time watching TV and ends up with square eyes. This triggers a series of mysterious phenomena that seep through various screens throughout the entire apartment building. When police officers Kim and Mike arrive to investigate a noise complaint, they find themselves in a disarray of blended worlds and must face off against fictional characters come to life.
